WOOLLAHRA HOUSE #2

Woollahra House: A Harmonious Blend of Tradition and Modernity.  Woollahra House is a comprehensive renovation of a period home situated on a generous block in the heart of Woollahra. The project aimed to modernise the existing structure by creating open, flowing spaces while ensuring accessibility and convenience.

This reimagined four-bedroom home features a generous master suite with elegant glazed steel frame partitions forming a stunning corridor leading to a luxurious ensuite and walk-in robe. Each of the three additional bedrooms boasts its own ensuite, including one with an accessible bathroom that combines practicality with style.

To enhance accessibility, the front library was resised to accommodate an internal lift, providing easy access to the upper-level bedrooms. The kitchen and living areas underwent a complete transformation. While the kitchen remained in a similar location, it was slightly repositioned to allow for a fully functional butler’s pantry and laundry discreetly tucked away behind the main kitchen area. The living room opposite the kitchen is bathed in natural light, thanks to a custom 2.2-meter diameter skylight.

The existing pool was renovated and slightly reduced in size, complemented by new landscaping to enhance the outdoor space.

Given the clients' desire to commence the project promptly, we worked closely with them and the architects to develop an initial budget and begin on-site work while finalising details, costs, and approvals.

Woollahra House features an array of high-end materials and finishes, including custom bespoke cabinetry, brass metalwork elements, handmade steel frame windows, oak floors, ornate timber windows, and meticulously detailed bathrooms with minimal tolerances between junction details.
