Kinn Construction has been building beautifully crafted, unique properties for over 30 years.


Being design and construction purists, we work with some of the best architects and designers in Sydney. Our passion is to build projects that have creative integrity – luxurious, bespoke homes and commercial spaces for the discerning client. Ultimately, we want to deliver legacy buildings that stand the test of time.


To deliver outstanding buildings there needs to be a strong working relationship between the client, the architect and the builder. And it must be underpinned by a culture of integrity, trust and leadership.


At Kinn Construction we are known for being trustworthy, honest and transparent in all of our dealings – our reputation depends upon it, and it’s been fundamental to our longevity in this industry. We deliver an exceptional product with the least amount of fuss, with the intention of not only meeting expectations but exceeding them. Open, quality communication is key, as is a focus on delivering your building on time and on budget. 


We invest the time to work with you and understand your unique requirements and wishes for your future home or corporate space. We then work closely with your architectural team to understand their needs and how the building is best built. This working trilogy ensures that we deliver you not only a unique property of outstanding quality, but importantly a smooth and enjoyable building experience for everyone involved.



We run numerous sites concurrently and have a team of highly skilled site managers, carpenters, apprentices, and skilled labourers, along with an extensive network of loyal and longstanding subcontractors.  We also have our support team behind the scenes in the office to assist with estimating, project coordination and accounts management. 


Our team is respectful, presentable, reliable and trustworthy.  We have been very fortunate to find this group of like-minded architectural enthusiasts who work from the heart and share our passion for quality craftsmanship beyond the norm to deliver outstanding buildings. We all share an underlying passion to interpret the architectural and engineering design into the highest quality build solutions.

Our leadership team has complimentary skills, combining together to create a whole that is greater than the sum of the parts.

Scott Inness  

Scott is the Managing Director of Kinn Construction and is responsible for overseeing every aspect of the business. 


He is a skilled second-generation builder who has a commitment and passion for each project from concept to completion. Scott brings experience across all facets of the business from industry leading construction knowledge, project management, accurate cost control and estimating, through to building and managing our team and developing long term relationships with our clients.


Scott has an instinctive eye for quality and detail; a self-confessed perfectionist, who motivates his team and contractor base to achieve nothing short of excellence. He is a great communicator and importantly, what you see with Scott is what you get.  And if you drop into the office, he will make you a mean cup of coffee.

Abby Summerton  

Abby is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the business. 


She is a Chartered Accountant and has worked in insolvency for a large international accounting firm prior to joining the Company. However she also has a passion for design, undertaking a Bachelor of Design at UNSW in 2006.   This creative talent enhances her understanding of the varied aspects of architecturally designed projects and her belief in only building the finest of architectural buildings.  


Abby is an awesome multitasker – juggling the marketing and accounting for the business, working with Scott on project cost controlling as well as being a Mum to their young family.

Jim Crumlin 

Jim has worked with the company since 2009. As Construction Director he is responsible for overseeing all construction and staff, working to ensure a consistency and quality across each of Kinn’s building sites.

Jim began his career as a carpenter and progressed through the ranks to site manager, project manager and now to this role. Because the bulk of his career has been spent on site, he understands how to get the most out of his team, bringing strong leadership skills to each project. His job has pivoted from problem solving to managing people; imparting knowledge and experience to the team on site and looking after their welfare to ensure optimal outcomes.

He prides himself on ensuring everyone on site is heard and respected, problems are considered from all perspectives and fair solutions are implemented.

When Jim isn’t at work he enjoys time at home and the beach with his wife and three daughters.


A great team is all about relationships and shared values.
